Your host explains the philosophy behind each gesture as she prepares matcha using generations-old utensils. You'll be invited to sit, receive, and drink the tea following proper etiquette, then try whisking a bowl yourself. The room overlooks a small traditional garden, adding to the hush of the ritual. The full session lasts about 45 minutes.
