Glide through the Dominican Republic's lush northern highlands, cool off beneath a private cascade, and sip single-origin coffee at a family-run finca few visitors ever find.
What to expect
Your guide meets you at the pier and drives into the Cordillera Septentrional foothills in a private 4x4. You'll swim in a secluded natural pool fed by a waterfall, then walk through a shade-grown coffee farm where the owner explains bean-to-cup processing. A leisurely criollo lunch is served on the finca's terrace overlooking the valley. The afternoon closes with a scenic coastal drive back to the ship.
Good to know
Book at least 5 days ahead for private scheduling; plan for a 6-hour round trip so build in a buffer before all-aboard. Bring water shoes and a dry bag for the falls.
