Spend a morning at a genuine no-riding elephant sanctuary, feeding, walking with, and bathing rescued elephants alongside their caretakers.
What to expect
A dedicated vehicle collects you for the scenic drive into the hills, where your mahout guide introduces you to the sanctuary's rescued herd. You prepare fruit baskets and hand-feed elephants up close, then walk beside them through the forest to a river for a joint bathing session. Your guide shares the elephants' individual rescue stories throughout.
Good to know
Bring a change of clothes for the river bath; book the earliest private slot to avoid larger tour groups arriving mid-morning.
