Reach the highest peak on any Adriatic island for a panorama over Zlatni Rat, Hvar and the mainland mountains — a view most passengers never see.
What to expect
A 20-minute drive winds through vineyards and pine forest to a trailhead, then a 30-40 minute walk to the 778m summit of Vidova Gora. From the top, Zlatni Rat's horn-shaped spit is laid out below like a map, with Hvar and the mainland peaks beyond. Your guide shares island history and points out the old shepherd paths still used today.
Good to know
Wear proper shoes; midday sun is strong so morning departure is best. Return easily fits a mid-afternoon all-aboard.
