At the confluence of the Saguenay Fjord and the St. Lawrence, Tadoussac is one of the world's premier whale-watching stages — blues, fins, belugas, and minkes all feed here. A dedicated naturalist-guided zodiac puts you eye-level with giants in their element.
What to expect
Your marine-biologist-trained naturalist briefs you on cetacean behaviour before departure. The zodiac skims out to the feeding grounds where belugas roll in social pods and blue whales — the largest animals on Earth — exhale cathedral-sized spouts just metres away. The Saguenay Fjord cliffs rising 300 m on either side make the backdrop as dramatic as the wildlife itself. Expect spray, adrenaline, and photographs you will never stop showing people.
Good to know
Pre-book well in advance in summer/fall — zodiacs sell out weeks ahead. All-aboard times in Tadoussac are tight; choose morning departure departures. Waterproof gear and warm layers are essential even in August. Book directly at the AML desk in the Tadoussac terminal or online.
