Plunge into the crystalline waters of Cumberland Bay inside the Juan Fernández Archipelago National Park — one of the Pacific's most biodiverse and least-dived marine environments, home to endemic fish found nowhere else on Earth.
What to expect
The waters of Cumberland Bay are startlingly clear, with visibility frequently exceeding 20 metres. South American fur seals are curious and playful companions underwater, often swooping within arm's reach. Endemic Juan Fernández grouper and a kaleidoscope of unique reef fish inhabit the rocky seabed. For certified divers, deeper walls reveal extraordinary endemic invertebrate life. All equipment is provided by the operator to expedition standard.
Good to know
Divers must present a valid certification card. Snorkellers of all abilities are welcome. Water temperature is cool (16–20°C) — wetsuits are provided. Book well in advance as dive slots are strictly limited by national park regulations.
