Slip into the warm Sea of Cortez beside the world's largest fish — the whale shark. A certified marine biologist guides your small group for an intimate, ethical, and utterly unforgettable encounter that defines bucket-list travel.
What to expect
After a short zodiac ride into the bay, your marine biologist spots the whale sharks feeding at the surface and briefs you on approach etiquette. You slide in — no scuba required — and snorkel alongside 30-foot filter feeders in crystal-clear water. The biologist identifies individuals, explains feeding behavior, and ensures the encounter is as educational as it is awe-inspiring. Season runs November through April; peak months are January–March.
