Iceland's greatest hits in a single unforgettable day: Þingvellir rift valley, the erupting Strokkur geyser, Gullfoss waterfall, the jewel-like Kerið crater lake, and a Blue Lagoon soak to cap it all — in a small group of never more than 19.
What to expect
The morning opens at Þingvellir, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates pull visibly apart and the world's oldest parliament once convened in open air. Strokkur geyser erupts every 5–7 minutes — position yourself upwind for the perfect shot. Gullfoss thunders in a double cascade into a mist-shrouded canyon. At Kerið, a short trail spirals down into the crimson volcanic bowl to the crater lake below. The day closes with a languid Blue Lagoon soak before your private transfer back to the pier.
Good to know
This is a long but well-paced day — approximately 10–11 hours. Confirm your ship's all-aboard time before booking; most departures return to Reykjavik/Reykjanes by 19:00–20:00. Layered waterproof clothing is essential. Book Blue Lagoon entry simultaneously as timed slots are scarce; the operator can coordinate both.
