Okinawa: Private Snorkel Safari in Kerama Islands' Blue Coral Reefs

The Kerama Islands, just 35km west of Naha, are rated among the top snorkelling and diving destinations in Asia — crystal-clear 'Kerama Blue' waters teeming with manta rays, sea turtles, and vast coral gardens. A private charter makes this utterly exclusive.

What to expect

Board your private charter from Tomari Port in Naha and cruise 35 minutes to the protected waters of Zamami or Tokashiki Island in the Kerama chain. Don your mask and slip into gin-clear water above rainbow coral gardens frequented by hawksbill turtles, parrotfish, and in season (Dec–Apr) humpback whales on the surface. The guide briefs you on the reef ecology and points out nudibranch and lionfish in the shallows. Lunch is served on the boat's sun deck with cold Orion beer and a bento box.
