Trek with a certified mountain guide along the GR98 coastal path to viewpoints that make every photographer weak at the knees. Stand on the edge of the world above Sugiton or En-Vau and stare down into water you won't believe is real.
What to expect
Your guide meets you at the park trailhead and sets a pace calibrated to the group, winding through fragrant garrigue — wild thyme, rosemary, and cistus — before the limestone plateau opens to a view that stops conversation dead. At the rim of Sugiton or En-Vau, the calanque drops 100 metres to water of impossible blue-green. The guide explains the geology, the endemic flora, and the peregrine falcons nesting in the cliffs. On the descent you pick your way to a private pebble cove for a swim before the walk back.
Good to know
3–4 hour itinerary, moderate fitness required. Wear sturdy closed shoes — the limestone is grippy but uneven. Park entry is free; no permit required for guided hikes. Pre-book as group sizes are strictly capped by the national park authority.
