Skim the glassy surface of the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord in a powerful RIB to reach the Seven Sisters and Suitor waterfalls at arm's length. A private boat means you linger exactly as long as the light demands.
What to expect
Helmeted in life-vests and dry suits, your small group arrows through the fjord in a rigid inflatable boat, stopping beneath the Seven Sisters' seven cascading streams. The boatman cuts the engine so you float in silence save for the thunder of falling water. You'll glide past abandoned hillside farms clinging impossibly to the cliff face — the Knivsflå and Skageflå gård — before looping back past the Suitor and the Bridal Veil falls.
Good to know
Book directly with Geiranger Fjordservice well in advance — private charters sell out weeks ahead in peak summer. Access from Eidsdal: board the Eidsdal–Linge car ferry (≈10 min) then drive or taxi to Geiranger (≈20 min). Allow 2.5–3 hours on the water. Dress in warm layers; the boat provides splash suits.
