Nukupule Reef Dive: Underwater Caves & Coral Walls

Descend into Nukupule Island's celebrated underwater caves and along vertical coral walls teeming with reef sharks, turtles, and chromatic schools of tropical fish. The Ha'apai Group's reefs are among the least-dived in all of Polynesia — pristine, uncrowded, and extraordinary.

What to expect

You kit up on a purpose-fitted dive tender anchored steps from the island's western reef wall. The first tank explores the cathedral cave system, where shafts of light pierce the blue. The second tank traces the outer wall where grey reef sharks cruise below and giant trevally hunt above. Surface intervals are spent on a private beach with chilled coconuts and fresh tropical fruit.
