Private Island Picnic & Snorkel on a Deserted Atoll

Charter a traditional Tongan timber vessel exclusively for your group, island-hop to a completely uninhabited atoll in the Ha'apai chain, and spend the day on a ribbon of white sand fringed by electric-blue shallows. Absolute seclusion, a gourmet picnic, and a snorkel over untouched coral — the Pacific dream made real.

What to expect

The timber vessel departs from the Ha'apai wharf and weaves through a scattered necklace of atolls to your chosen private shore. Snorkelling gear is provided; the fringing reef is so shallow and clear it feels like swimming in an aquarium. A driftwood table is set on the beach with your gourmet spread while a crew member keeps chilled drinks flowing. The afternoon is entirely yours — swim, paddle, read, or simply do nothing magnificently.

Good to know

Request the itinerary when booking so the skipper can tailor the atoll selection to water conditions that day. Transfers from the ship's tender pier are self-arranged (short walk). Book at least 2–3 weeks in advance; confirm all-aboard alignment with the operator when reserving.
