Paddle a sea kayak through the Ha'apai Group's scattered atolls with an expert naturalist guide, landing on beaches no cruise passenger has ever reached. With calm, turquoise lagoons and virtually no other visitors, this is the most immersive way to experience Nukupule's wild island chain.
What to expect
After a shore-side briefing and a fitting of stable sit-on-top sea kayaks, your guide leads the group along a route chosen for that morning's wind and tide. You paddle across glassy lagoon water, stop to snorkel a coral bommie from your kayak, and land on a deserted islet for fresh coconut and a rest. The return paddle skirts Nukupule's reef edge, where turtles are regularly spotted resting at the surface. No previous kayak experience required.
Good to know
Morning departure strongly recommended (calmer winds, better light). Wear rash guard and reef shoes; reef-safe sunscreen is essential. Allow 4 hours including briefing. Confirm booking directly with the resort by email and coordinate with your ship's tender schedule.
