Organic Olive Estate & Ionian Wine Tasting: Private Masterclass

Descend into a fourth-generation Messenian olive estate for a private guided harvest walk, followed by a seated tasting of estate-pressed extra-virgin olive oils and rare indigenous Peloponnese wines — paired with artisan local cheeses and honey. This is Greek terroir at its most intimate.

What to expect

A private driver collects you from the port and takes you 20 minutes inland to a hillside estate fragrant with wild thyme and ancient olive trees. The owner-producer walks you through the grove, explaining the difference between Koroneiki and Athinolia varietals as you graze on cured olives straight from brine barrels. In the stone press-house, you taste oils of remarkable peppery intensity against a spread of local breads, graviera, and thyme honey. The session closes with a seated pour of four Peloponnese wines — including the compelling indigenous Mavrodaphne — accompanied by a mezze lunch. You depart with a curated gift pack of estate oils.

Morning session 09:30–12:30 recommended; back at port by 13:00. Transfer included. Notify the operator of any dietary restrictions at booking. Book minimum 5 days in advance; groups capped at 10. Wear comfortable shoes for the grove walk — terrain is gently uneven.
