Halibut Charter: Fishing the 'Halibut Capital of the World'

Drop lines in the rich, cold waters of Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet aboard a dedicated sportfishing charter — Homer is the undisputed halibut capital of the world, and a day on the water with expert crew is utterly unforgettable.

What to expect

Depart Homer Spit Marina aboard a well-appointed sport vessel, with rod, reel, bait, and rain gear provided. The skipper navigates to proven halibut grounds in Cook Inlet, where 50–200 lb fish are a realistic prospect. The crew works beside you — baiting, coaching, and landing — making it accessible for first-timers and thrilling for veterans. A fresh deckside fish cleaning follows your catch.
