Descend to Thailand's largest diveable wreck — the 100m HTMS Chang warship — then drift over technicolour coral gardens in crystal-clear Gulf waters. A bucket-list dive pairing raw history with extraordinary marine life.
What to expect
Board a longtail or speedboat early morning for the 30–40 minute crossing to the HTMS Chang, a decommissioned US Navy vessel scuttled in 2012 that now rests at 20–30m and teems with lionfish, batfish, and coral encrustation. Your divemaster briefs you privately, then guides you through the hull's cavernous interiors and over the deck railings draped in sea fans. The second dive moves to a pristine hard-coral plateau alive with parrotfish and hawksbill turtles. Surface to a cold towel, fresh fruit, and a sun-drenched return crossing.
Good to know
Pre-book at least 48 hours ahead; bring your dive certification card. Typical departure 08:00–08:30, return by 13:00, well ahead of most all-aboard times. Conditions are best November–April. Non-divers can snorkel the shallower reef on the same boat.
