Journey 40 miles south along the dramatic Turnagain Arm to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, home to brown bears, musk oxen, wood bison, wolves, and bald eagles in vast natural habitats. Book a private behind-the-scenes experience for unparalleled access.
What to expect
The drive south along Turnagain Arm is one of Alaska's most spectacular — watch for beluga whales in the inlet and Dall sheep on the cliffs. At the center, sprawling 200-acre habitats house Alaska's iconic megafauna at close range. On the private tour, your wildlife biologist guide takes you behind keeper gates, shares individual animal histories, and explains ongoing conservation programs. The musk ox and bison encounters are particularly extraordinary.
