Sportfishing for King Salmon: Private Charter on the Canal

Fish the legendary salmon-rich waters of the Behm Canal aboard a private guided sportfishing charter — targeting King (Chinook) Salmon, Silver Salmon, and halibut in one of the most productive fisheries in Southeast Alaska. The ultimate Alaskan bragging right.

What to expect

Your captain meets you dockside, vessel rigged and coffee ready, and heads straight for the productive tidal rips where the Behm Canal meets Revillagigedo Channel. Trolling with downriggers in gin-clear glacial-fed water, you target King Salmon that can exceed 50 lbs. The captain handles the technical details — reading sonar, adjusting depths — so you focus on the fight. After landing your catch, onboard fish-processing begins; a local facility can vacuum-pack and freeze your haul for the journey home. Return past bald eagle nests and spouting humpbacks.
