Glide by kayak into one of the world's longest navigable underground rivers — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and New7Wonders of Nature. Cathedral-scale caverns dripping with stalactites, bats swirling overhead, and near-silence make this utterly otherworldly.
What to expect
A 90-minute van transfer through lush Palawan jungle brings you to Sabang Wharf, where a private pump boat whisks you to the park entrance. Helmeted and life-vested, you board a paddle kayak and drift into the darkness as your licensed guide illuminates towering limestone formations with a torch. The river stretches 8.2 km underground; the navigable tourist section takes roughly 45 minutes and passes the breathtaking Cathedral and Italian's Room chambers. A buffet lunch at Sabang Wharf is included before the scenic return.
Good to know
Permits sell out — book at least 2–3 weeks ahead. The park is ~2 hours from Puerto Princesa port; plan for a full day (8 AM–5 PM) to be comfortable before all-aboard. Wear clothes you don't mind getting splashed. Bring insect repellent for the Sabang beachfront.
