Climb through the eerie limestone passages of Ugong Rock, then launch off a 420-metre zipline above an untouched rainforest canopy. This rare combo of cave adventure and aerial thrill is run entirely by the indigenous Tagbanua community — raw, authentic, and unforgettable.
What to expect
Located in Barangay Salvacion, roughly 45 minutes from the city centre, Ugong Rock rises dramatically from the jungle floor. Your Tagbanua guide leads you through a series of tight, lamp-lit chambers — squeezing, climbing, and marvelling at glittering formations — before you emerge blinking into sunlight at the summit. The reward is a 420-metre dual zipline that sends you soaring above the forest canopy with a jungle-framed horizon stretching to the bay. The whole experience takes 2–3 hours and is exhilarating without being extreme.
Good to know
Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Combine with the Underground River on the same day if your ship has a late all-aboard — Ugong Rock is on the Sabang road. Not suitable for those with severe claustrophobia.
