Glide through Asia's best-preserved colonial walled city on a bamboo bicycle, weaving past 16th-century ramparts, cobblestone lanes, and the haunting Fort Santiago dungeon where national hero José Rizal awaited execution.
What to expect
Your bamboo bicycle — handcrafted by Manila artisans — carries you along the 4.5 km perimeter walls of Intramuros, past Baluarte de San Diego and through the grand gates of Fort Santiago. Inside the fort, you walk the very corridors where Rizal was imprisoned, then stand in the garden where his footprints are cast in brass marking his final walk to execution. The tour concludes at San Agustín Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest stone church in the Philippines, where the baroque interior glows in the afternoon light.
Good to know
Tours run in the morning (8 am) and early afternoon (1 pm); allow 2.5–3 hours total. Intramuros is 10–15 minutes by taxi or ride-share from the Manila cruise terminal. Pre-book directly via the Bambike website to secure a private slot. All-aboard times at Manila port are typically 5–6 pm, so a morning tour is ideal.
