Tear through red-earth Dominican countryside on a private ATV, plunge into a hidden freshwater cave, and arrive at wild, wave-lashed Macao Beach — the most beautiful undeveloped shore on the Punta Cana coast. Thrilling, visceral, and genuinely off the resort trail.
What to expect
Don your helmet and throttle a twin-seat buggy or solo ATV along laterite tracks cutting through sugarcane fields and local villages, where children wave and roadside vendors sell fresh coconuts. A stop at a natural cenote (water cave) lets you cool off with a swim in crystal-clear underground water. The trail then crests the coastal ridge and drops to Macao Beach — dramatic Atlantic surf, no resort infrastructure, just raw Caribbean coastline. A cold beer and fresh ceviche await at the clifftop palapa before the return run.
