Wander the labyrinthine Venetian lanes of Corfu's UNESCO-listed Old Town with a private expert guide, ascending the Old Fortress for panoramic Ionian views. One of the best-preserved medieval townscapes in the Mediterranean, and utterly unmissable.
What to expect
Your guide meets you dockside and leads you into the old town's heart — the Listón arcade, the elegant Spianáda square, and the Church of Saint Spyridon with its silver reliquary. Ascending the Old Fortress, you are rewarded with sweeping views across the Ionian Sea and the Albanian coast beyond. The final hour winds through the Campiello quarter's atmospheric back alleys, where washing lines and cats frame doorways unchanged for centuries.
Good to know
Corfu Town is walkable from the cruise pier; a short taxi or water taxi gets you to the Old Town gate in minutes. The fortress opens at 08:00; early starts avoid peak heat and crowds. Wear comfortable walking shoes — the cobblestones are charming but uneven.
