Rocket 203 metres above Berlin in the iconic Fernsehturm TV Tower — the GDR's greatest monument and the tallest structure in Germany — then dine in the revolving restaurant at the top for a 360° panorama over the entire city. Unmissably theatrical, unmissably Berlin.
What to expect
A high-speed lift whisks you to the observation deck in just 40 seconds, where floor-to-ceiling glass frames the full sweep of Berlin — from the green lung of the Tiergarten to the glittering sprawl of the former East. In the revolving Sphere Restaurant one floor above, the room completes a full rotation every 30 minutes while you dine on elevated German and continental cuisine. At 368 metres, the Fernsehturm remains a Cold War icon with extraordinary contemporary theatre.
Good to know
Book Fast-View tickets and restaurant reservations well in advance at tv-turm.de — both sell out, especially in summer. The tower is at Alexanderplatz, one of Berlin's great central squares. Allow 1.5–2 hours total. Pair with a walk around Alexanderplatz and the historic Neptune Fountain.
