Step into 16th-century Spanish colonial Philippines along the cobblestoned Calle Crisologo, clip-clopping through Vigan's UNESCO World Heritage streets by private kalesa. One of Asia's best-preserved colonial towns — utterly bucket-list.
What to expect
Your private guide leads you through Calle Crisologo's lamp-lit stone facades, into the Crisologo Museum (ancestral home of a political dynasty), and to the Vigan Cathedral. A kalesa ride through the old quarter at dusk is the defining sensory moment — horse hooves on Spanish-era cobblestones, baroque towers glowing amber. Artisan workshops line the side streets where burnay pottery and abel weaving are still practised as they have been for centuries.
Good to know
Vigan is approx. 30 km / 45 min from Salomague Port. Pre-arrange a private vehicle directly with the operator. Allow 4–5 hours minimum; confirm all-aboard time and add 1 hour buffer for return. Calle Crisologo is pedestrianised — the kalesa ride is the only wheeled access.
