What to expect
You're welcomed into Tyrrell's heritage sandstone cellar and seated at a tasting table with your winemaker host. The masterclass moves through six to eight library wines — including their iconic Vat 1 Semillon — with the winemaker walking you through vintage variation, terroir, and the art of ageing. A beautifully composed estate cheese and charcuterie board accompanies each flight. There's no rush; this is a conversation as much as a tasting.

Hunter Valley is approx. 90 min from Newcastle. Masterclasses typically run 90 minutes and should be booked at least two weeks in advance directly with Tyrrell's. Pair with a cellar-door purchase to have your selections shipped home. Depart the port by 08:00 to allow time for the experience and a relaxed return.
