Plunge over the continental shelf edge at Ashmore for wall diving of extraordinary drama — pelagic species, coral-encrusted overhangs, and current-driven marine life density that rivals the Coral Sea. Bucket-list diving in one of the world's most remote Marine Parks.
What to expect
Your dive guide briefs the group on the shelf topography and expected pelagic encounters before you kit up on the expedition tender. The first dive follows the reef wall from 8 to 25 metres, passing gorgonian fans, Napoleon wrasse, and patrolling silvertip sharks. The second tank is spent in the shallower coral garden for decompression and macro photography. Surface intervals are taken aboard the tender with cold towels and fresh fruit.
Good to know
Advanced Open Water certification minimum; proof of certification required at check-in. Dive computers and wetsuits provided. Currents can run strong on the shelf edge — this is not a dive for beginners. Book early as places are limited to 8 divers per session.
