Go beyond the visitor path at the world's only green sea turtle farm and conservation facility, handling hatchlings, learning from marine biologists and witnessing the island's most important conservation success story up close.
What to expect
Your private marine biologist guide opens the gates to the research wing, where you observe — and gently handle — weeks-old green turtle hatchlings destined for open-ocean release. The tour traces the full conservation lifecycle, from nesting through rearing to tagging, with frank, expert commentary on the threats facing Caribbean sea turtles. A walk through the saltwater lagoon exhibits introduces nurse sharks, rays and reef fish in naturalistic pools. The visit ends at the outdoor tank where you may snorkel alongside yearling turtles.
