Old Québec City Private Walking Tour & Château Frontenac Experience

Explore the only walled city north of Mexico with a private expert guide, then ascend to the iconic Château Frontenac for a signature tea or cocktail overlooking the St. Lawrence — a UNESCO World Heritage panorama like no other.

What to expect

Begin at the imposing Porte Saint-Louis and walk the fortifications with your guide narrating four centuries of French and British rivalry. Wind through the artisan lanes of Petit-Champlain — the most photographed street in Canada — and pause at Place Royale, birthplace of French civilization in North America. The tour culminates at the Château Frontenac's grand salon, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame the river in all its majesty.

Good to know

Québec City is a common port of call along the Seaway; the Old City is walkable from the cruise terminal. Book the private tour at least 3 weeks in advance. Wear comfortable shoes — the upper and lower towns are connected by steep staircases and the funicular (CAD 4.50 each way).
