Paddle the dramatic walls of the Saguenay Fjord — one of the world's longest and deepest — in a guided private sea-kayak excursion, then picnic on a granite ledge above 300-metre cliffs with zero other humans in sight.
What to expect
Your certified guide outfits you with a sea kayak, wetsuit, and dry top at the Baie-Éternité launch. You paddle beneath Cap Trinité, where a statue of the Virgin Mary watches over the fjord from a 518-metre cliff — one of the most awe-inspiring sights in Eastern Canada. Mid-journey, your guide sets up a wilderness picnic featuring Québec cheeses, smoked salmon, and local craft cider on a private rock shelf. Return paddle is accompanied by the fjord's cathedral silence.
Good to know
Suitable for paddlers with basic fitness — no prior kayak experience required. Best in June–September. Tadoussac or Chicoutimi are the closest ports. Pre-book at least 2–3 weeks ahead and confirm all-aboard time allows for a 4–5 hour excursion window.
