Line-Crossing Ceremony: Neptune's Court Immersive Ritual

Become a fully initiated 'Shellback' in the ancient maritime rite of Neptune's Court — a bucket-list moment that seafarers have honoured for centuries at the precise moment your ship crosses 0° latitude.

What to expect

At the stroke of crossing 0°, 'King Neptune' and his royal court assemble on deck in full regalia. First-time crossers — 'Pollywogs' — are ceremonially summoned, daubed, dunked, and knighted into the ancient order of 'Shellbacks'. The ritual closes with the presentation of a personalised certificate of crossing, a keepsake passengers treasure for life. Champagne and celebratory toasts flow as the crew and guests mark this singular geographic and spiritual milestone together.

Good to know

This takes place at sea, not in port — no all-aboard concern. Pre-order your commemorative certificate framing onboard and arrive on deck early to secure a prime spot near Neptune's throne. Dress for spray and revelry; wear clothes you don't mind getting wet.
