Tetebatu Village: Private Rice-Terrace Walk & Monkey Forest

Stroll through emerald rice paddies and lush plantation trails in Tetebatu, the verdant highland village on Rinjani's southern flank, encountering wild black monkeys in their forest canopy and cooling off beneath a hidden waterfall. A timeless, deeply peaceful Lombok experience.

What to expect

Wind ~1.5 hours north-east of Lembar into the cool highland air of Tetebatu. Your private guide leads you along narrow earthen paths between shimmering terraces, past tobacco plantations and clove trees, with Rinjani's cone framed overhead. Enter the blackened canopy of Monkey Forest to spot Lombok's endemic black Javan langurs swinging overhead. The trail culminates at a cascading waterfall where the mist is deliciously cool — a perfect reward.
