Descend into the legendary subterranean Crusader city beneath Acre's streets — one of the best-preserved medieval sites on earth. A private expert guide unlocks stories of Knights Hospitaller, Saladin, and Napoleon that no audio guide can match.
What to expect
Your guide meets you at the Crusader Fortress entrance and leads you through soaring Gothic vaulted halls that once housed thousands of warrior-monks. You wind through the Templars' tunnel to the port, emerging at the old sea wall with views unchanged since the 12th century. The route continues into the Ottoman-era Khan al-Umdan caravanserai and the covered bazaar, ending over a glass of arak at a family-run coffeehouse in the Arab Quarter.
Good to know
Acre port is a 5-minute walk from the Old City walls — no transfer needed. Pre-book your INPA-certified private guide at least 2 weeks ahead; all-aboard times are typically 17:00–18:00, so a 09:00–13:00 tour is comfortable. Wear flat shoes for uneven stone floors.
