Sail traditional dhows through the Menai Bay Conservation Area, snorkel pristine coral gardens, drift to a deserted sandbank, and feast on a freshly grilled seafood barbecue under the open sky. The Indian Ocean at its most untouched.
What to expect
You board a hand-carved wooden dhow at Fumba village as the tide carries you into the glassy channels of the Menai Bay Conservation Area. Snorkelling stops over wild coral bring encounters with sea turtles, colourful reef fish, and dolphins. The crew beaches the dhow on a white sandbank for a freshly grilled lobster and catch-of-the-day lunch, fresh fruit, and local spiced sauces. The afternoon sail back is pure bliss — cold Kilimanjaro beers, a sea breeze, and a horizon that seems to belong only to you.
