Venture into Peru's legendary Ica Valley to tour a historic Pisco estate — walking the sun-drenched vineyards, watching the copper-pot distillation process, and conducting a guided tasting of Peru's national spirit at its source. An intimate, sensory experience you simply cannot replicate elsewhere.
What to expect
The drive to Ica through the coastal desert (approx. 60 km from port) is itself scenic, with sand dunes rising alongside irrigated vineyard plots. At the estate, a knowledgeable guide leads you through the Quebranta and Torontel grape varieties before entering the cool, aromatic bodega where traditional clay pots (piscos) still line the walls. The guided tasting includes four to six expressions paired with local dried figs and chocolate. The estate's shop is exceptional for serious bottles to take home.
Good to know
Allow 3–4 hours including transfers. The estate is open to private visits Monday–Saturday; pre-arrange your visit by emailing direct. Pair this excursion with a quick stop at the Huacachina oasis sand dunes (15 minutes from the bodega) for a spectacular desert lagoon photo stop en route back to port.
