Paddle a SUP board through mirror-flat lagoon water at dawn, gliding silently over feeding sea turtles in the shallows. On one of the world's most remote archipelagos, this is wild nature at its most intimate — no engines, no noise, just you and the ocean.
What to expect
Launching just after first light, you paddle through water so clear you watch hawksbill turtles feeding on sea-grass two metres below your board. The guide keeps you in the leeward shallows where conditions are benign even for beginners. Occasionally a curious turtle surfaces directly alongside. As the sun climbs, the sand island glows amber against the blue — every frame is a photograph. The session concludes back at the tender with fresh tropical fruit.
Good to know
No SUP experience required; the guide gives a 10-minute briefing. Guests with limited mobility should opt for a different activity. Apply reef-safe sunscreen before launch. Allow 90 minutes including briefing. Confirm with operator that equipment can be tendered to the ship's anchorage position.
