Paddle through secret tidal channels and mangrove-fringed lagoons on a private guided kayak expedition around Agatti Island, the closest inhabited atoll to the Laccadive Sea cruise anchorage. Pristine, crowd-free, and utterly exhilarating.
What to expect
You launch from a powder-white beach and immediately enter a turquoise maze where the water is so shallow you can see your own shadow on the sand beneath. The guide pauses at a secluded sandbank for a swim stop and freshly cut watermelon. Bioluminescent plankton makes an early-evening paddle electric — literally. The final stretch paddles you into a wide lagoon as the sun drops toward the horizon, the islands silhouetted in amber.
Good to know
No kayaking experience required; guide provides a 10-minute briefing. Sunscreen must be reef-safe — the resort enforces this strictly. Afternoon departures (3–5 pm) catch the best light and, seasonally, the bioluminescence. Book via the resort's watersports desk; confirm your tender return time before departure.
