Discover what many photographers call the world's most beautiful beach — Anse Source d'Argent — amid colossal pink-granite boulders, then venture into the island's interior for a giant Aldabra tortoise encounter on a private guided safari.
What to expect
Board the inter-island ferry from Praslin (or Mahé) to La Digue. Bicycles await at the pier — the island's preferred and charming mode of transport. Your guide leads you along shaded coastal trails to Anse Source d'Argent, timing arrival for the golden-lit boulders at their most dramatic. L'Union Estate's giant tortoises follow, then a private lunch of Creole fish curry at a seafront table. The afternoon is free to swim or kayak before the ferry return.
Good to know
The ferry crossing is ~15 minutes from Praslin or ~1 hour from Mahé. Confirm with Mason's Travel which port your ship uses so they can arrange correct pick-up logistics. Book 3–4 weeks ahead for private guide availability. Allow buffer time before all-aboard.
