Sail a private catamaran across Aitutaki's UNESCO-lauded turquoise lagoon to One Foot Island (Tapuaetai) — one of the Pacific's most photogenic motus — and collect the legendary passport stamp that serious travellers treasure.
What to expect
Depart Arutanga wharf and glide across water so shallow and clear you can read the coral 10 metres below. Anchor at Tapuaetai and wade ashore to a strand of sand that vanishes into translucent shallows — the postcard image of the South Pacific made real. The island's postmaster stamps your passport with the iconic One Foot Island seal. Snorkel gear, fresh tropical fruit, and island-caught fish are served on board for the return sail.
Good to know
Aitutaki is a tender port — confirm the ship anchors here on your itinerary. The lagoon cruise departs 08:00 and returns by 14:00, typically comfortable for all-aboard. Pre-book your charter at least 6 weeks in advance; private charters fill fast in peak season (July–September).
