Paddle a sea kayak directly beneath the towering UNESCO Pitons, then snorkel the biodiverse coral reef at pristine Jalousie (Sugar Beach) — one of the Caribbean's most dramatic natural settings, experienced at water level.
What to expect
You launch your kayak from the black-sand crescent of Jalousie Bay with Gros Piton and Petit Piton rising 2,600 feet overhead — a perspective no photograph can prepare you for. Snorkelling the fringing reef reveals sea turtles, French angelfish, and enormous brain corals in crystalline visibility. Between paddles, the resort's beachside bar offers chilled coconut water and rum cocktails in a jaw-dropping natural amphitheatre.
Good to know
Jalousie Bay is ~1.5 hrs from Castries by road or accessible by private water taxi (~45 min, approx. USD 60 each way). Book the watersports session in advance; confirm all-aboard and allow generous travel time back to port.
