Soar above Kotor's medieval rooftops on the recently restored official cable car, rising to a panoramic plateau with sweeping views across the entire Bay of Kotor. A swift, breathtaking ascent to one of the Adriatic's finest viewpoints.
What to expect
The gondola lifts you swiftly from the edge of the old town, clearing the ancient city walls and revealing the full geometry of Kotor's triangular fortifications below. Within minutes you arrive at the summit restaurant terrace, where the bay fans out in its entirety — Perast's islands, the winding channel to Tivat, and the Adriatic horizon beyond. Time at the top can be spent at the viewpoint café with a glass of local wine, or walking along the ridge to the fortress ruins. The descent gives a different angle of the city glowing in the afternoon light.
Good to know
Book the round-trip ticket in advance online to skip the queue — lines can build quickly on port days. The cable car station is a short walk from the sea gate inside the old town. Allow 1.5–2 hours total; very easy to combine with an Old Town walk.
