Rosfjordsanden Beach & Coastal Kayak: Sørlandet's Riviera by Paddle

Glide across the mirror-calm waters of the Rosfjorden by sea kayak, tracing the white-sand arc of Rosfjordsanden — southern Norway's most beautiful beach — from the water. A serene, intimate encounter with Sørlandet's celebrated 'Norwegian Riviera' coastline.

What to expect

After a brief safety and paddling briefing at the water's edge, you set off in stable sit-on-top sea kayaks along the golden curve of Rosfjordsanden, arguably the finest beach in southern Norway. Your guide leads you into sheltered coves, past rocky skerries draped in seaweed and, if the season cooperates, alongside curious harbour seals. You'll land on a quiet stretch of beach for a rest and to take in the fjord panorama before paddling back — arriving refreshed, sun-warmed and deeply content.

Good to know

The 2.5-hour guided tour fits comfortably within most port calls — allow 20 minutes transfer each way from the pier. No kayaking experience required; the guides cater confidently to beginners. Bring a change of clothes and a towel; light spray is normal. Sunscreen essential on clear days — the Norwegian sun reflects intensely off the water.
