Sail to North Seymour Island — the Galápagos' greatest wildlife theatre — where blue-footed boobies dance, magnificent frigatebirds inflate scarlet pouches, and land iguanas lounge feet away from the trail, followed by an afternoon at Bachas Beach's flamingo lagoon.
What to expect
Depart Puerto Ayora by morning speedboat, crossing to North Seymour where colonies of blue-footed boobies perform their iconic mating dance practically at your feet. Magnificent frigatebirds inflate their vivid red gular pouches overhead while sea lions commandeer the rocky shoreline. A dry landing leads to a circular trail through the nesting grounds with naturalist commentary throughout. The afternoon stop at Bachas Beach reveals a flamingo-dotted lagoon and one of the archipelago's finest snorkelling bays, before a scenic sail home.
