Walk the only place on Earth where waved albatrosses nest — watch them court, clatter bills, and launch from cliff edges above the Pacific. Marine iguanas blaze red-and-green underfoot while Nazca boobies stand sentinel.
What to expect
A panga (zodiac) wet landing deposits you onto volcanic boulders where the trail immediately delivers marine iguanas, lava lizards, and Española mockingbirds at arm's length. The looping 2-km path culminates at the continent-edge blowhole that shoots seawater 20 metres skyward. Between April and December, waved albatrosses perform their extraordinary courtship dance just metres from the trail. Your INGALA-certified naturalist guide narrates every moment, from evolutionary adaptation to conservation status.
Good to know
Albatross season runs April–December; even outside it, the island's full suite of endemics is unmissable. Wear non-slip shoes for boulder scrambles. Galapagos National Park rules mean no independent access — all visits are guide-led. Allow 3–4 hours including panga transfer. Confirm all-aboard time before departure.
