Descend into Curaçao's most spectacular limestone cave system, where million-year-old stalactites, indigenous Arawak petroglyphs and rare owl colonies await beneath the island's sun-baked surface.
What to expect
A knowledgeable guide escorts you through a series of cathedral-like chambers draped in stalactites and stalagmites, some illuminated in subtle lighting that heightens the drama. Rare Screech Owls roost in the upper vaults — spot them with the guide's torch. Arawak rock art etched centuries ago lines the walls of the deepest gallery. The temperature drops noticeably underground, a welcome relief from the Caribbean sun. The circuit takes around 45 minutes and covers easy-to-navigate pathways.
