Deal Island Lighthouse & Remote Archipelago Expedition Sail

Sail deep into the Kent Group of Bass Strait to Deal Island, home to Australia's highest lighthouse and some of the most isolated, spectacular scenery on earth. This is a true expedition — raw, remote, and utterly unforgettable.

What to expect

Departing from the Tamar River estuary, your expedition yacht navigates the open strait to the Kent Group marine park — a passage that demands genuine seamanship. Landing at Deal Island, you ascend to the 1848 lighthouse (Australia's highest above sea level), where sweeping views encompass nothing but ocean in every direction. The marine park teems with fur seals, dolphins, and migratory seabirds that escort the boat. Evenings at anchor in sheltered coves beneath the Milky Way are deeply restorative.
