Hike through primeval rainforest inside the Guadeloupe National Park to the thundering 110-metre Deuxième Chute du Carbet — the tallest accessible waterfall in the Caribbean. Elemental, untamed, unforgettable.
What to expect
Departing from the port in an air-conditioned minivan, you reach the Carbet Falls trailhead in around 40 minutes. The 2nd Falls trail (approx. 1.5 km, moderate grade) threads through giant ferns, heliconia, and towering gommier trees. The payoff is a natural pool at the base of a roaring cascade where a natural shower awaits. Your guide shares Creole legends tied to the falls and the surrounding national park. Return timing is always aligned with your departure.
Good to know
Wear light, fast-drying clothing and waterproof trail shoes — the path can be muddy. The hike is moderate; not suitable for guests with severe mobility issues. Pre-book to secure a morning slot, cooler and less crowded. Approximately 4–5 hours total.
