Soar above Schollaert Channel in a private helicopter, watching the vast mosaic of sea ice, glaciers, and ink-black open water unfold 1,000 feet below. Few experiences on Earth compress such geological grandeur into a single panoramic flight.
What to expect
A licensed Antarctic helicopter pilot briefs the small party (max 4 guests) before you lift off over the channel, banking low over penguin rookeries, snowfields, and the jagged spine of the Antarctic Peninsula. The pilot narrates glaciological and ecological highlights through your headset. You may hover above a calving glacier face or a whale pod tracked from altitude. The 30–45 minute flight ends with a gentle touchdown back at the vessel's helipad.
Good to know
Flights are 100% weather-dependent and may be postponed or cancelled without notice; full refund issued if flight cannot operate. Book as early as possible — helicopter slots are the first to sell out for any Antarctic season. Guests with pacemakers or recent cardiac events should consult the operator before booking.
