Join a professional polar photographer for an intimate, small-group masterclass conducted entirely on the ice and water of Schollaert Channel. Leave with technically refined, portfolio-worthy images of Antarctica's most dramatic ice and wildlife.
What to expect
Groups are capped at six photographers, ensuring the guide can review your settings, suggest compositions, and reposition participants without crowding. Sessions are timed around the golden-hour light that persists for hours in the Antarctic summer, turning bergs amber and rose. The guide coaches everything from histogram reading in bright snow to panning techniques for surfacing whales. An evening edit review session aboard the vessel is included.
Good to know
Participants should bring a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a telephoto lens of at least 200mm; the guide can advise on optimal kit before departure. Waterproof housing or dry bags essential for Zodiac sections. Confirm timing carefully around the vessel's all-aboard; the workshop is typically 4–5 hours.
